COMPANY HISTORY: AXIOM REMODELING

JOSHUA C. JOHNSON,  Licensed General Contractor

Born in Illinois, raised in Indiana, and now a resident of Illinois again, Josh is focused on improving community living through his actions and influence as a local business owner.  Married and with children, he faces the same challenges balancing the roles of husband, father, homeowner, and small business owner that many other working individuals face.  In that way, Axiom is set apart from other companies.  Larger companies concerned only with the bottom line lack understanding from the perspective of the homeowner and lose the opportunity to make an impact on the customer through genuine concern for their project. 

The company was originally formed in Indiana and specialized in second-story additions and three-season room additions.  Over time, customers began to ask for additional remodeling work and the services offered were expanded on that basis.  Formerly a member of the National Association of Home Builders, the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, and the Building Industries Association of Northwest Indiana, Josh was fortunate to meet and develop relationships with many great local businessmen who had similar interests in maintaining professionalism in the industry.  Through these contacts, the company expanded into commercial services.  In 2006, in an effort to retain personal relationships with our customers, the decision was made to scale back production crews and handle jobs individually allowing for more attention to detail and greater quality control.  Currently, the focus of the company is to maintain and foster our business and residential relationships at a level which satisfies all involved.

It is not uncommon to befriend and get to know one another during the course of an extensive remodeling project.  Be warned of potential congenial conversation on the following topics: sailing, traveling abroad, home design, and environmental conservation.
